Piotr Gałek has graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Music School in Rzeszow, in the piano class. At present he is studying at the Karol Lipiński Music Academy in Wroclaw, at the Faculty of Music Education, Choral Studies and Sacred Music.
His adventure with choral music has begun in The Boy’s Choir of the Cathedral Pueri Cantores Resovienses in Rzeszow. Piotr performed and took part in choral contests, both in Poland and worldwide.
He has been improving his vocal skills at the Letnia Akademia Madrygałów [Summer Madrigal Academy], organized by “Muzyka Dawna w Jarosławiu” [Early Music in Jaroslaw] Society; at Handel Academy and Mozart Academy, organized by Narodowe Forum Muzyki [National Music Forum], as well as during four editions of Polski Narodowy Chór Młodzieżowy [Polish National Youth Choir].
At present Piotr Gałek collaborates on a daily basis with Wroclaw’s Cantores Minores Wratislavienses ensemble. He also performed with such ensembles as: NFM Choir and Capella Cracoviensis, as well as with orchestras: Il Giardino Armonico, Concerto Köln and Wrocławska Orkiestra Barokowa [Wroclaw’s Baroque Orchestra].
In his artistic work Piotr Gałek has had a chance to collaborate with many musicians, including: Giovanni Antonini, Robert Hollingworth, Paul McCreesh, Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny and Jacek Kaspszyk.
