Emmanuel Vistorky

« back

Emmanuel Vistorky started studying singing at the National School of Music in Epinal at the age of 15. After obtaining the first prize, he joined the Maîtrise de Notre-Dame de Paris, specializing in Early Music repertoire. He concluded his training with Fosako Kondo in lyric singing at the Paris Conservatory.

Early on he starts working with internationally renowned ensembles specialized in Middle Ages music, such as Gilles Binchois, Alla Francesca or Diabolus in Musica, with whom he explores all of the wealth of the medieval repertoire.

In the Baroque repertoire he has worked for over ten years: with the Concert Spirituel in numerous stage productions, the ensemble Akademia with whom he defends the German Baroque repertoire, French and Italian music with Le Poème Harmonique, and also with the ensembles Doulce Memoire, Jacques Moderne or more recently La Fenice on the English Baroque repertoire from Purcell to Handel. He contributed to more than thirty recordings with all of these ensembles. On stage, he interprets basso buffo roles in Italian operas with the Poème Harmonique (The Baroque Carnaval, Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme), sings the role of Ebro in La Morte d’Orfeo, and often performs in Orfeo by Monteverdi.
