This year’s 14th edition of the Misteria Paschalia Festival begins on the 10th of April. ”The Krakow Easter Festival is still organised by the Krakow Festival Office but it changed its formula: it will have a different artist as curator each year. This year it is the French lutenist Vincent Dumestre, the creator and the head of the sensational ensemble Le Poème Harmonique; This year France is the leading theme, but works by Claudio Monteverdi (on the 450th anniversary of birth), Georg Philipp Telemann and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi are also on the programme. Night concerts in churches are a novelty, offering a specific French form connected with the Holy Week – Dark Matins” – writes Dorota Szwarcman in the new issue of ”Polityka” weekly.
